Find a star
Drag on empty sky to box a group: it stays marked through every
view, tracked by star not by screen position. What a new box does to
an existing selection is set by brush action above; shift-drag always
adds. A star drawn hollow as a limit is still selected if its plotted
point falls in the box. Click a star to pin it. ←→ views,
space tour, d drift, esc clear.
Each view is a linear projection of all properties at once, standardized to
median 0 and robust σ 1 (log₁₀ for columns and ratios). Changing view rotates
the projection plane, so stars move continuously between diagrams. A star
without a value for a property fades out as that property rotates in. Hollow
points are limits; the arrow shows the direction the true value lies.
